O'Brien Compliance 10 year Anniversary and Open House

For the past ten years OBCM has specialized in providing testing, consulting, and training services, for our clients located worldwide.  Our expertise is centered around, IEC 60601-1, 3.1 ed and related standards for medical equipment. Our founder, Frank O'Brien, has been testing and evaluating medical devices since 1980. Prior to forming OBCM in April 2004, Frank was a Manager and Senior Staff Engineer at Underwriters Laboratories, where he worked for 24 years. Since 1996 Frank has been on IEC committees drafting IEC 60601 standards, Including the general medical standard IEC 60601-1 3rd ed and amendment 1, the home healthcare collateral, IEC 60601-1-11, the light ion (e.g. proton) therapy equipment particular, and the medical robotic technology particular. He brings a unique blend of global, business development, technology, and regulatory perspectives to a design team. Frank has a consistent track record of recognizing trends, finding the proper balance among sometimes conflicting priorities, and motivating people to work towards a common set of goals.
